Kashmir was absolutely breathtaking, with snow-capped mountains, winding rivers, and crystal-clear lakes that felt almost unreal. Coming from Singapore’s bustling city skyline, the wide-open landscapes offered a truly refreshing escape. Travelling as a group with Clifford Law created wonderful opportunities for team bonding and getting to know one another beyond the workplace. Despite busy holiday traffic and warmer weather than expected, Mountain Adventure Travels impressed us with their creativity and flexibility — constantly adapting plans and turning the trip into a smooth, fun, and truly memorable adventure.

Our firm, Clifford Law, organised this memorable 21st Anniversary Kashmir Trip for 16 colleagues, and it truly exceeded all expectations.
From the very beginning, you thoughtfully briefed us on how to prepare for the high-altitude conditions, sharing helpful tips such as bringing ginger lemon sweets — advice that proved invaluable and showed your genuine care for our well-being.

We were warmly welcomed at the beautiful Radisson Hotel in Srinagar, where the cosy ambiance and friendly staff immediately made us feel at home. The scenic drives, though occasionally slowed by traffic, became some of the most enjoyable moments of the trip. Instead of seeing it as wasted time, we turned the bus into a lively party space, laughing and dancing to Bollywood hits together — creating fantastic memories as a team!

One of the highlights was the thrilling mule ride at Sonmarg. We explored the breathtaking Thajwas Glacier and wandered through a charming small village, gaining a lovely glimpse into the warm and simple lifestyle of the local villagers. It was both adventurous and deeply enriching.

Throughout the journey, you kept us perfectly informed with clear daily schedules, ensuring everything ran smoothly so we could fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of Kashmir.

I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Mountain Adventure Travels to anyone looking for a well-organised, safe, and truly memorable experience. Thank you once again for making our firm retreat so special!

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent trip to Kashmir with Mountain Adventure Travels. Having frequently travelled with packaged tours in the past, I initially expected the standard, somewhat boring itinerary.

However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the complete opposite.
The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and well executed, successfully catering to the differing interests and preferences of everyone in the group. For instance, horse riding was the activity that captured my interest. Although I was nervous about riding a horse for the first time, the guides were very reassuring and guided me safely across the cliffs. Near the end of the trail, lush green meadows stretched out beside the snowy mountains like an alabaster spine, with rivers sparkling like glitter in the sunlight.

The scenery that unfolded before my eyes created a wonderful, lasting memory.
Mountain Adventure Travels made it possible for me to experience and see so many new things. This trip genuinely provided me with many self-fulfilling first-time experiences. In conclusion, I gained a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Kashmir, and I am grateful to have travelled with Mountain Adventure Travels.

Kashmir completely blew me away — I wasn’t even expecting to love it this much!

The scenery is just wow — mountains and lakes everywhere you look. It was my first time in India, and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better place to start.

Thanks to Pritam for connecting us with the right people on the ground so we had the best experience and fair prices. I came back already thinking about going again!
If you’re thinking about visiting Kashmir, don’t hesitate — just go. You won’t regret it!

Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, sits at an elevation of 1,585 metres (5,200 feet) in the scenic Vale of Kashmir along the Jhelum River. Its name derives from “Sri” (meaning sacred or prosperous in Sanskrit) and “Nagar” (city), evoking a holy abode. Renowned for Dal Lake, Mughal gardens, and houseboats, it offers breathtaking mountain vistas with snow-capped peaks framing lush valleys, blending Persian, Islamic, and Kashmiri cultural heritage in a paradise-like setting.

Pahalgam, meaning “village of the shepherds” in Kashmiri (“Pahali” for shepherds, “Gom” for village), lies at about 2,200 metres (7,200 feet) on the banks of the Lidder River. This idyllic hill station enchants with verdant meadows, pine forests, and majestic Himalayan mountains rising dramatically against clear skies. Its natural beauty inspires awe, serving as a base for the Amarnath Yatra and treks, where shepherd traditions and serene landscapes create a timeless cultural and spiritual haven.

Sonmarg, translating to “meadow of gold” (“Sona” for gold, “Marg” for meadow in Kashmiri), is perched at approximately 2,730 metres (8,957 feet) in Ganderbal district. Its golden-hued meadows in summer contrast with towering, snow-draped Himalayan peaks and glaciers, offering unparalleled mountain beauty along the Sindh River. A historic Silk Road gateway, it captivates with pristine alpine scenery, treks to Thajiwas Glacier, and vibrant wildflowers, embodying Kashmir’s majestic natural splendor.

Doodhpathri, meaning “Valley of Milk” in Kashmiri (“Doodh” for milk, “Pathri” for meadow/valley), sits at 2,730 metres (8,960 feet) in Budgam’s Pir Panjal Range. Tied to Saint Sheikh Noor-ud-din’s miracle of milk from the earth, it enchants with lush meadows, pine forests, and majestic snow-capped mountains. Village stalls serve warm corn bread alongside aromatic pink salted tea (Noon Chai), blending natural beauty with authentic Kashmiri hospitality in this pristine alpine haven.
