Hunza Valley Pakistan: A Truly Unforgettable Experience with Mountain Adventure Travels

This was my first time visiting Hunza Valley in Pakistan with Mountain Adventure Travels on 31st October 2025, and it turned out to be the most beautiful and meaningful trip of my life. As a Punjabi who speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi fluently, this was the first country I’ve visited where I could truly connect through language. Growing up in Singapore, I often felt like the odd one out, so being able to speak freely and be understood felt incredibly comforting and empowering.

What amazed me was Pakistan’s incredible diversity. Growing up, I thought Pakistan was mainly made up of Punjabis and Pashtuns, but I quickly discovered so much more. Beyond these communities, I encountered rich cultures from the Indo-European descendants of Alexander the Great with blue-green eyes and blond hair, to the Mongolian-descended communities of the Hazaras, strong Afghan and Central Asian influences, and hundreds of languages spoken across the country. Each region has its own traditions, clothing, food, and history. Pakistan isn’t just a destination — it’s a living tapestry of cultures and stories.

The hotels were excellent, but what truly stood out was the people. Pakistanis have some of the warmest hospitality I’ve ever experienced. I have travelled across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, and nowhere have I experienced hospitality as sincere and selfless as in Pakistan. People treated us like family — calling me their sister and my father their brother. From carrying our bags to guiding us with the smallest details, their kindness was genuine and constant.

I felt very safe walking alone. Influenced by strong cultural and Islamic values, there is a deep respect for women that made me feel comfortable and protected. Simply sitting on a bus and watching endless mountains pass by felt surreal, and my favourite part of the journey was Skardu. I’m already counting down the days until my next visit to Hunza Valley, Pakistan.

I highly recommend this Hunza Valley trip to Pakistan with Mountain Adventure Travels.
