Pakistan Hunza Valley Trip 19th April – 28th April 2024

During the Covid-19 pandemic, I did not travel overseas. When I received information about the Pakistan Hunza Valley trip through a Whatsapp message, I decided to give myself a treat.

I wanted this trip to be as easy and as relaxing for me as possible, if I can find a hotel roommate. I asked a 77 years old friend of mine, Rebecca Goh and she immediately said YES to going on the trip with me.

What I saw of Pakistan, I liked much. What I saw of the mountains of Pakistan, I liked very much. What I saw of the Pakistani people, I liked very very much.

The Singaporean CEO (Mr Pritam Singh), the Pakistani Director (Mr. Zakiel Yousaf), the Pakistani tour guide (Mr. Mehar Zayn), and the Pakistani van driver (Mr. Faizal) took excellent care of us during our 10 days 9 nights tour.

I enjoyed all the luxury hotels we stayed in and was particularly thrilled that we journeyed along part of the Silk Route during our tour.

Even today, I miss the majestic brown snowcapped mountains as well as all the wonderful Pakistani people we met along the tour, the 6 Pakistanis in our tour group, the Pakistani hotel staff, the various ethnic groups of Pakistanis along the tour, from the fair handsome black bearded ones to the ones with light brown/blond hair and blue-green eyes, some say are the descendants of Alexander the Great army.

I enjoyed seeing the yaks roaming wild and freely high up in the mountains just outside our van, the hairy goats, the waterfalls, the crystal clear blue-green rivers and streams, nature at its best.

With the help from the younger Pakistani brothers in our tour group, my 77 years old roommate and I (68 years old) climbed up about 100 feet of a small hill of this 12,000 feet mountain to see a beautiful lake up there in the Naltar Valley with beautiful pine trees and green shrubbery down below.

For the first time in my life, I felt snow falling gently on my face at the Khunjerab Pass at 15,397 feet of the Pakistan-China border.

Every aspect of the tour was a delightful treat for me, even all the halal Pakistani and Chinese food we ate in generous portions.

I have travelled to 19 countries and Pakistan is my first foreign country to experience a friendly tourism police, highway patrol, the army and police to accompany our van from checkpoint to checkpoint, talk about ultimate security for tourists, this is it!

Most of the Karakoram Highway KKH, described as one of the most beautiful destinations and the eighth wonder of the world, and tunnels we drove on or passed through were beautiful and in excellent first class condition built by China. There were certain stretches of road especially along the site of the massive, current under-construction China-made Basha Dam project where the roads were bumpy but that’s part of the adventurous fun of being on the Pakistan Hunza Valley Tour.

I highly recommend this trip to my brother and his family as well as to my friends who love natural beauty to go on this Pakistan Hunza Valley Tour with Mountain Adventure Travels.

I invite you to personally visit Pakistan Hunza Valley with Mountain Adventure Travels. You will be blessed with an unforgettable road trip experience of a lifetime viewing some of the world’s most breathtaking mountains without ever climbing them.
